These images are now in the public domain and can be freely used for personal, educational, and commercial purposes without further permission.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Marie Bracquemond (1840\u20131916) was a pioneering French Impressionist painter, known as one of the three &#8220;grande dames&#8221; of Impressionism alongside Berthe Morisot and Mary Cassatt. She began showing her artwork at the Paris Salon as a teenager, despite never having formal art training. She studied under masters like Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres and later worked as a copyist at the Louvre, where she met her husband F\u00e9lix Bracquemond, a well-known painter and ceramicist.\u200b<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Early in her career, Marie&#8217;s painting style was academic and realist, in line with the official Salon style, but exposure to Impressionist artists such as Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, and Paul Gauguin inspired her to adopt their approaches. Around the 1880s, she shifted to plein air painting, using brighter colors and looser brushwork. Her work largely focused on domestic scenes, portraits, landscapes, and still lifes, reflecting the typical subjects accessible to women artists of the period.\u200b<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Marie Bracquemond participated in three of the eight major Impressionist exhibitions\u2014in 1879, 1880, and 1886\u2014which helped bring her work to a wider audience.
